Friday nite Stringfrenzy and I stopped and knocked at a house that I have wanted to hunt for 5 yrs. The owner was very nice and told me all his kids have detected the yard, and several other people have stopped as well and he allowed them to detect as well, But he said if I wanted to try I was allowed to detect, he told me the house was built in 1861. I was hoping all the people there had missed something. Well after 2.5 hours of detecting and virtually no signals, I realized they did a pretty good job! I managed 4 lone cents, two wheats and two indians, 1901 and 1891, so at least I wasn't skunked!
Saturday went door knocking with Starky and it was pretty rough day, got a lot of clad, several wheats, a crotal bell, and once again two indians, 1892, and 1901 again....still a fun day with a great friend.
Sunday went door knocking with Badjim and I found an interesting item with an enameled front with a white rabbit, back says sno-wite fur farms......Now I am guessing it is fairly old but not sure, just basing that on the depth of the other things found in the yard by Jim.....I managed to find a neat little toy gun, and a 1876 Canadian LC. Once again the finds weren't awesome and I was totally silver-less for the whole weekend, but the weather was absolutely perfect and I spent time with 3 of my good buddies, can't beat that!
