Well, this is a first for me...I landed 8 silver dimes (4 mercs, 4 Roosevelt) plus clad at the coinstar... Mercs were all 1940's...Roosevelts were a 1950 the rest 1960's...I almost missed one that was on the floor...so I beat my record of 4 which were half dollars...not pictured is a New Hampshire dept of transportation token...very pleased and surprised to say the least.

This was a pleasant surprise...I don't think I'll be repeating this for quite some time...

Thanks Billb,
Somebody took 1, or possibly more, jars of coins that had been collected then left alone since the late 1960s and dropped them into your machine. Congrats on the finds.

I think so...I did have some modern clad mixed in with the silver in the reject bin.... probably more than one container...

WOW AMAZING !!! All the Coinstar machines i see around here have no have no coin return holders. They just dump to the floor. Next time your near yours could you please take pictures of your Coinstar machines ?

Stupid question. Is there a return tray you pull out ? I thought it was just a cup like return ?

Yes, gladly...one of grocery store clerks here keeps a broom near the coinstar and does a quick sweep just under the front of the coinstar...says he gets a few coins that way... it's catching on with the clerks here so I've got competition :)
