Nice relic finds Caretaker. That item looks like it could be a Garter clip Creskol. Its hard to tell without the reverse picture.

I typed in the stamp on the back on Google and got this

[FONT=&quot]1882 Metal Latch Hardware For your consideration, this very old latch is a beauty. The squeeze or pinch portion has a lovely cut out design. The solid portion has flowers which appear to be dogwood. We believe this piece was used for a photo album. There is a copper color to the metal, but it is not soft...some metal alloy that we can't identify. Patented June 6, 1882, No. 10133. [/FONT]
