Went back to the Potato field yesterday, and as expected the field had been ploughed and sown it had also been raining very heavy and the farmer hadn't had the time to roll the field.
We started off on a sticky wet field, and we both headed to were the Edward111 Hoard was found, it keeps throwing the odd coin out and today was no exception, Michael getting 2 in the first two digs in a line but as quickly as they came, they disappeared again probably the soil is not compact enough...maybe later on more will come
I headed of to the outher end of the field and decided to grid the area that produces Roman finds, I found one scrappy Roman, but 2 Hammered silvers one a small Edward1st half penny, and the outher a Edward111 half groat(bit far up the field to be connected with the hoard)
I also found a piece of early Glass(possibly from a window) I'm not quite sure of what period could be Roman, or Medieval, there was once a Church nearby that dated to the Norman period, could be from there
