Advice on how to talk to landowner?

Capt.John:

I would have just waved and asked the
man how he was doing?

Then start a conversation if his first question was
what are you looking for........or what are you doing
would give you a clue.

Doing is good ...looking for means he thinks
you have something already you know about.

I would wander around first like you really do not know
what you are doing..pick up rocks, MD a little enjoy the
outdoors.

Get his confidence.then again he make be a neighbor that
does not like strangers...or someone with a lot of time
on his hands.talk to him find out where he lives ,how long he
lived there.wife kids and etc.

Human nature is human nature you learn a lot by what
they say and what they don't. go by your gut feeling
it can tell you a lot.

I am a former drug counselor so I watched the eyes and
the not so quick reply to a question(had to think one up).

I had a man watching my every move scared me to death
come to find out he was a park ranger on his lunch hour.

Good hunting

Great advice from Jeffro

Also, don't go around lunch or dinner time and not on a Sunday. Some people are very religious and just don't want to be imposed on a Sunday. Just some extra thoughts.
