Hello all, I have a really great spot where I have found tons of good old coins, but the best potential area is very difficult. It’s a stretch roughly 12 ft wide by 150 ft long. It used to be a boardwalk that people would walk on once they got off the train. This entire path where the boardwalk was has a 10 inch deep layer of “coke” just under the soil. I think they used it as a makeshift pavement. It’s loose, and in varying sizes. I have found a few coins in this stuff, but I know there should be many more. The other night I found a buffalo nickel close to the surface so I did an experiment. I dug a 6inch hole and dropped the nickel in and ran my coil over it. It disappeared completely!

Does anyone have advise on what settings would help on my Deus I?

You need to dig the coke out.
