Nice to see a simple and practical method of lighting.
I was looking at the "CREE" brand of LED's on eBay and they look good. Nice and bright, while not using up lots of battery power. I was reading about someone in another forum who made a bike light with three of the CREE LED's and they light up real nice.
And for those not into the electronics thing, there are lots of the CREE brand of flashlights, head lights and individual bulbs on eBay. Just do a search for: CREE LED. Or take a look at the lower picture in item number 170357352273 to see how bright they are.

I know there are lots of other LED bicycle lights, flashlights and headlights on eBay that are cheaper and with enough of them combined with a good lens, you can get similar results. I'm leaning toward a 76 LED 6 Volt headlight for use on a little Honda I bought. The old 6 volt light that came stock isn't very impressive.
