Congrats on the colonial coin! I'll have to check the video later. HH, Mike

Inspiration to get back out there...frozen or not...although in these conditions picking the right target to dig will be necessary...no iffy signals.

Re: View video of Colonial Coin find (link here)

Yes, I should mention I only dig very good signals, but this is also a site without much modern trash.

It's just a flat green disc, nothing readable on it any longer...happens quite a bit up here with those coppers under certain conditions. Will never know...

Even with lost metal through corrosion its too light for a William III. I would say a George II. If you give me the exact Diameter, I will narrow it down?

OK....OK......you guys are indeed awesome!! But ya know....wearing shorts and a tee shirt beats what you guys were wearing any day ... and I don't have to use a chisel ... only a little fork to dip the lobsters in butter!!! Yummy!! Nice find! GD

OK, at that wait & size. It can only be two possibilities (UK):

1717-1724 George II Halfpenny.

An immitation George II or III Halfpenny.

Great video, thanks. Here's hoping it's a Colonial Copper. WAY TO GO!!!!!!
