ACE 250 can find silver!!!

Today i got out for about 2 hours,and hit a new site I've been spying for a while now and needless to say it did not disappoint

all in all i ended up scoring
--------------------------------------------
(3) silver quarters 1942,1946,and 1963--
(1) 1946 Rosie--
and lastly .925 stamped silver ring with a braided pattern on the band..

most everything was around 4-6 inches

sorry the pics aren't that great--i'm still learning how to use my digital camera,but at least i got em posted
What can i say about the ACE250---little,yellow,and HI-HO SILVER

I like finding the jewelry as well,silver coins have been hard to come by lately so 4 in the same area is OK by me

I'm hoping there are some more goodies there--its a big site

Nice coins... Congrats....
On your camera, make sure you have alot of light on your coins.. (dispersed sunlight is best)... and turn off your flash . Make sure its in macro mode. You will get better pics.

And go out and find some more oldies!

Awesome, How were you running? Speed, settings, pinpointing? Tell me all, I am a sponge for new techniques with the Ace 250. Bongo

Bongo I've been hunting in jewelry mode-- pretty much(in all metal mode it seems I'm wasting more time digging iron & foil which is tiresome),but you'll still dig junk from time to time in jewelry mode but not nearly as much--in coin mode your gonna miss gold which i have not found any yellow stuff yet

I like jewelry mode the best it allows you to find the good stuff without too much trash--

I swing a level 1-2 inches above the ground and over lapping my last pass with the center of my coil on the next sweep,listening for a good clear repeating bell tone--

as for the method of my madness most times slow-moderate swings of the coil seem to work the best--And pay no attention to the passing vehicles with people screaming "HEY NERD" as they pass by at 55 mph

then hold pinpoint button starting off target about 2-3 inches--move coil toward target till you hear the loudest constant tone(do this in an X pattern on and off target) when the PP bar is solid all the way across your target is below the center of the coil(most of the time)...when pinpointing watch the depth meter its pretty accurate(a hand held pinpointer is very helpfull too)

great finds. you will find many more of the silver etc mostly its just being in the right spots. think we all have dry spells of nothing good other then some time out in the fields. but one good site always makes up for it. HH and keep up the good work.
