Ace 150 and water

HEllo,

Will the Ace 150 work good in a couple of inches of water ? (not salt) I'm thinking of trying it at the beach of a lake.

The coil is waterproof..Just don't get water in the control head..It will work fine.

I used my 250 in a lake, and it did fine..I was not used to water hunting tho so it was a bit of a challenge....

It should be fine as it is supposed to have a waterproof coil. Just for insurance, place some silicone sealant around the cable where it enters the coil. Don't raise the coil higher than the controls or water in the shaft can get at the guts and fry them. There is black sand at the freshwater lakes too so if you hear falsing, turn down the sens.
