About a week's worth
This about a weeks worth of digging about 15hrs in total, 6hrs last Saturday 4 hours today and a hour here or there. I came up with a good amount of tagets though it was tough swinging. Most of this came from a corn field that was cut last fall so lots of stalks to deal with. This all came from the same location where I found a nice lined block A. At first I thought I might have found a small camp but no such luck. I think the Confederate buttons are associated with a home site somewhere on the property(I'm just not real sure where right now). The highlights- There a couple of really cool pieces of jewelry that still have stones, I found the thimble today and have always wanted to find one(Its a lot smaller than I thought it would be) and a 2 piece button with the benchmark "R & W Robinson" which I believe was bought out in 1848. Oh and I found this 2 piece Virgina Button. The plows in this field must have ad radar for good buttons cause man did it take a few out. I also think this might have been a uniform button for one of those poor old Rebs. Anyway Thanks for lookin.
