Hi all.My brother picked this up at a yard sale in a box of stuff.I'm thinking it's a button cover....maybe ? Any info would be appreciated......Thanks !

Sorry, but it is definitely not a button cover.

Your mystery object's rim has multiple "foldover tabs" ...which is the typical form for attaching a metal emblem or decoration to leather or other thick material.

I disagree I think it could possibly be a button cover! Some are made with extra prongs if your adding to an already existing button to go over the material on it
