My first M/D find

Went out yesterday with Fossis to a beautiful country spot. Did some sightseeing and metal detecting. Fossis was on a great relic hunt, and found some great stuff.
He then took my wife and I out to see this giant of an Oak tree, what a pretty spot. Look at the pic of Fossis next to this tree, it dwarfs him pretty bad! Even pics do not do this tree justice, it is one of those things you've got to see for yourself.

He then showed us an area that is an old dump site, with old farm implements, an old grinding wheel by a saw blade, and there was an old buggy rotted away in the grass.

So much history in this area, which Fossis knows like the back of his hand. He is pretty much a walking encyclopedia of the area. ;D

Seeing that White Oak tree in Western Arkansas brings back a funny memory. That tree is the ONLY tree in the pasture. I ran into it with my dad's new GMC pick up..... I was a bright child.

Thought you would like that story Fossis.

Man, this is interesting stuff. I would enjoy a thread with you and Oroblanco discussing the tangible evidence that indicates people were here before the Native Americans.

I'm very interested as well. There has been some very unusual finds, Fossis knows quite a bit about some of this stuff. Some of these artifacts don't look Native American in the slightest.

Fossis should be writing a book!!!! ;D

Fossis also mentioned something about hearing of huge humans with red hair being here long ago. Well guess what? Realde Tayopa is another TNetter who has some info about those giants. He says there is a cave in Mexico where unusually long human bones and tresses of red hair can be seen. He lives in Mexico and says he has seen these things.

Let's get these guys together to discuss these things and we can sit on the sidelines, throw out a few questions and bits of info, and learn from these guys. It's interesting stuff, and could ultimately have serious ramifications regarding our currently accepted historical interpretation. History could be re-written right here on TNet. Bring it on!!!!

Greetings - just found this thread and found it very interesting, if anyone here would like to start a thread as suggested, I would be delighted to participate. I would hope that you folks would not choose to simply sit on the sidelines though, in my opinion all discussions are better and more fruitful with more input and more viewpoints.

Fossis, I envy your association with Gloria Farley, her book In Plain Sight, Old World Records in Ancient America is one of those that got me started. I presume you have also read the works of Dr. Barry Fell (now deceased) who was another researcher unafraid of the academic 'lockstep' that insists on the Isolation theory (in which the peoples of the Americas supposedly developed in utter isolation from the outside world) and published several highly controversial books on ancient America. My only quibble with Ms Farley is a slight bias (or maybe a slight attraction to, would be more accurate) in favor of identifying signs and symbols as "Egyptian", for example the goddess Tanit was not Egyptian but Punic, in fact the most important god to the people of ancient Carthage. I think if she had had a bit more reference material to help in identifying some of the amazing petroglyphs and pictograms, she would not have necessarily identified so many as Egyptian. Gloria brought many things to light that simply drive the 'experts' bananas - they just hate it when someone can prove that old Isolation theory is false and is not afraid to publish it! ;D

Please let me know if you folks decide to start a thread as suggested earlier? Thank you in advance, and I very much enjoyed the discussion you have had!

In order to avoid hijacking scotto's thread any more than has already happened, a new thread has been started under the category "Everything Else." Let's get some in-depth discussions going about the evidence that supports this theory - that there were Pre-Columbian Explorers in the Americas. Please join us there if the topic interests you.

Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,75691.0.hmtl

Thanks, scotto, for allowing this little diversion from your original story.
