I was recently granted permission for an old home via a web permission mission. I stopped in to meet the lady the other day and shoot the breeze. She was the kind of person who was friendly and quickly said "Have at it!". Awesome.
I pulled out a stunning PEI One Cent within the first five minutes. I wanted to get on her good side, so I offered it to her. She appreciated it. I figured there would be much more after that, but I ended up digging about 40 modern pennies... copper ring and such.
Oh well! The donation has secured me permission for the oldest farm in the area, that her friend owns.
I went back today and sniffed out a nice 1903 5 cent piece. I was hoping to see mint mark, but this one is empty.
1871 PEI One Cent. I'm hoping that future LC's found at this location look like this one.
1903 5 Cents
Fairly modern military button and 1930 penny
Copper ring with stone missing and a keyhole
Happy hunting!
