Tried to get an early start today but the bed wouldn't let go until about 7:00 - I had planned on getting out around 5:30 but couldn't secure permission the night before, and eventually I got a "NO" on that place anyway. Since the weather has turned hot and dry, the "YES" rate for new permissions has plummeted, so today I stuck to vacant lots and did OK considering the conditions.

Started off just a couple blocks from "Silver Street" and on the second signal pulled a 1963 Rosie. Thought it was going to be a red letter day but this was to be the only silver for today's efforts.

I did manage to shoot some decent video with the Pivotheads and remembered to keep most of the action centered as long as the battery lasted. Kept it in Full Tones using the control box speaker, as using the WS5 phones would have been very sweaty - I'm in MONO with these anyway maybe it's time to send them to Moe for repair...:dontknow:

Didn't get to film much at the second location due to the battery life; I uncovered a dateless Buffalo nickel and just a few inches away came a 1920 Wheat - these were the only two OLD coins for the day...near the end of the hunt I got a loud "87" and decided to dig - out came a neat ST. Louis compact made by Wadsworth - these were popular in the 1930s - 1950s.

Both places boasted shade and fairly easy digging - so if nothing else I can revisit these places even if no permissions line up.

Could REALLY use a DEUS multi-frequency sniper coil in these areas since bulldozers churn up all kinds of things...time will tell!

Looks like you had a good day, You sure did dig a lot of targets. Man it looks like you dug every signal. No goodies were going to get by you. Congrats on the Buffalo and Rosie. You also had a nice clad haul.

Nicely done video. Thanks for sharing the Full Tones Audio. The Audio was very clear and visible on your video.
Was nice to hear the tones on the silver and coppers. Im still trying to distinguish the good tones from the trash on my DEUS.
Seems like sometimes im almost certain its a coin and it is, and other times im certain and its not.
I definitely feel ya on the "Hot and Steamy Summer Hunting", its hot as balls down here in southern Mississippi right now.
Been trying to look for shaded areas to hunt, and go early in the am.
I pulled one of those aluminum dime sized disks the other day. I usually don't find em that small. It was my second hole, right after finding a wheatie. I thought for sure it was a silver at first, for a couple seconds.
You sure do like that 4Khz, I think Im gona have to give it a try.
I recently started using 8Khz more, to avoid the tiny pieces of trash in my mostly super trash hunting environments.
8 Khz also gives lower VDI numbers which I liked. Silver seems to hit high on the higher frequencies, especially big silver.
Most times after digging those good tones that hit high on the scale when using the higher frequencies, it turns out to be iron.
I have found myself digging a lot of lower conductive targs to avoid the iron, but I hate that im prob missing out on big silver.
I know the deus is supposed to be a tonal machine, but I still like looking at the numbers too in order to help determine if I should dig.
Keep up the good work, and keep making those videos.
Thanks
You should consider getting a set of WS4's, theyre not nearly as hot as my my sunray pro gold full size headphones were. Had the Sunrays on my XLT a few months ago before I bought the XP, and the full size phones were hot and sweaty in March.
Only other suggestion if you do get the WS4's don't put em in the box til they dry out.
I left em in the case after sweating once, and they never dried and smelled like old gym sox for a few days.

Nice finds a little silver is better than none .great video thank you

Taylor it looks like you did pretty well for yourself. Big Congrats! The rain that we got last night might help us a little, but we still need more. The weather forecast for the next week or so look for the temperatures to be bumping the 100 degree mark with high humidity.
