I went to a yard sale today, and I thought it was just a normal sale. The guy had some miscellaneous junk, a couple of rifles, and HOLY **** A MINELAB EXCALIBUR 1000. FOR $50. AND IT ****ING WORKS.

The photos will show why the price was so low, but for the price I got it for, I think I did alright, especially for the fact that it actually works. Hell, I'll bet I could even double my money if it breaks and I sell it for parts on ebay!

Thoughts?

You got a great deal..... I would pay $50.00 all day long for a Excalibur like that.... Just some a little wear on it........

If you want to triple your money just shoot me a pm :)

Wow you really made out well with that buy ! Nice going .
I would like to have that kind of luck a few times in my life.
With your luck going this way now you need to get out and hunt , there is no telling what you would find !

Hell that wasn't a steal that was Daylight Robbery:icon_thumleft: Congrats.

A definate score that's for sure. I have one simular to it. you can buy the replacement knobs on ebay for cheap, also a straight shaft rod,to make it sweep easier while in deeper water. GL............Scott.

I have some money waiting for you! Pm me a price.

Im sorry to tell you, but I dont think you noticed the scratches on that Excal. It looks to be very damaged to me, but since your a fellow detectorist I will help you get your money back, plus 10%. Also it could be Chinese!

I knew it was damaged, that's why it was only $50.

And I think it's legit, although from what I've read, it's a discontinued version of this detector. I took it to the beach today in the water, and it functioned perfectly (I even took a silver ring, buried it about 8 inches and swiped it over. It was able to detect it no problem). The only problem I had was that it turned off, but I think that's only because I didn't charge the battery for very long.

But if it is fake (which it probably isn't), it's a good fake that functions perfectly, and I believe it was worth the money.

I don't understand this whole fake post also that detector sells for well over 300 damaged for parts so don't let anyone Rob you on the price if you want to resale just because you paid 50.00 don't mean you shouldn't sell it for fair market value

Hey, I was just joking, dont take everything so serious. You got a good deal, and no one is trying to take it from you.
