Stop by our thrift store today and all their toys were on sale half off and half off on miscellaneous stuff. I went back to the toys I had my daughter with me who was two. She wanted a bag that had some toy bracelets in it. Now she's going to but when she sees something she wants she has a fit to get it. So I decided to look through the bags to see if the stuff was safe for her or not. And I saw this in the bottom of the bag for a $1.99. I noticed the hallmarks on it at first. I figured it was too good to just be a junk toy jewelry. So there was a small sterling silver charm in the bottom Along with a ladybug it was marked Italy. Ended up being an enamel 14k gold ladybug charm.

A similar one sold on line for $129.00. Unoaerre is the name brand. I'm glad my daughter has a good eye too!! Btw, the bag was 50% off.

I have seen many of these!!

These are excellent buys. Some can go for crazy amounts of money. Not only are these great jewelry pieces, they are art too. The small detail that is designed on them is just phenomenal. I really love these charms and pieces. Italy is the only mark? There should be a way to tell what company it came from, that can make or break you on that, but awesome grab!!

Happy hunting bud

No. I got a loop and on the back of it I was able to read 585 unoaerre And then there was another mark, not sure what that was. But I listed it for $119. $10 under another one that sold.

This is an awesome find man. The markings in my mind make it to be early. If I am correct ITALY is usually a sign of vintage pieces, and this is just a great piece all around. Great color, great design.

I have never checked those bags of just kids jewelry before. Never even thought too. But I was talking to another lady in the store who said that she bought a bag one time because she saw it had a 14 karat gold cross pendant in it. So a little bit of advice from another person really paid off. Maybe I should've told her that I bought a sterling silver picture frame there one time too. But I didn't really think of it at the time!

Exactly why I'm now hooked on bagged 'costume' jewelry. Tiny pieces are often over looked, me thinks.

Costume jewelery bags are the best for this. So many of the tiny Charms like this, or the very thin gold chains go unnoticed. Great find though. These are tougher finds compared to your run of the mill random gold in a bag. These are more designer than what most bags will give.

I 'louped' a lady bug pin today just because of this thread. Not gold, but the search is on.
