As predicted a quiet day as I headed off to the field furthest from the village, very little lead/or iron, but found a couple of cool items, the first was about 3 mins of walking from the truck… it was silver, it was a concave disk, I was overly excited…. But alas to thin and no markings…. but it certainly warmed me up for a minute in the freezing weather!

But first my star find, is the lead bridle boss, still sitting in its leather strap 😳… himself found the next pretty thing… it’s concave ? i found the next remarkable item… again front and back pics, next the silver disk, tin foil confirms it is indeed silver, bit Of a cog, a piece of chain held together with a rod, end of a spoon and stair carpet gripper, buttons, 1 pretty, finally a Jetton and a crusty Roman.

A very very cold day out today, but pleased to be outside roaming the fields as ever. At the entrance to this field is the old mile marker! xx

Well ive just contacted the FLO who confirms its official treasure .. she dates it to the 1300’s 🤯… an amazing little find.. best i update the title of the post 😂😂 xx
Its a cool Silver Seal, but I'm pretty sure its later than 14th C, 17th C (maybe 16th) would make more sense to me, I think I see its octagonal? (are there 8 facets to its structure?)
