Hello All. I dug my new favorite site last night after work and did real good I think. The site is an early 1900's farm house burned down long ago.

Got ammo, hardware, button, buckles, bottles, harmonica pc, 1911 WC, jewelery, and something very cool.

Hunted previously productive ground very slowly and dug one very squirelly tone in the woods...last pic.

Thanks for the view and may the finds and times be with you.

Holy sheep s*** batman! Is that sign going to fetch that kind of money?

Great finds

Hello treblehunter. I wish it were so but the backside is kinda toasty so I am thinking maybe worth $100. It matters not because it is going on the man-cave wall anyway...once I get a man-cave that is.

Thanks for the reply and HH. C9

Excellent finds, don't sell that sign! That's probably a once in a lifetime find, thanks for sharing.

That's a AWESOME sign don't sell it I have a old D-X gas sign the value just keeps going up. Great save!!!!!!!

GOD BLESS!!!!!!!

I have a Cave but No sign like this one ... Nice find ... I did however find a 2 gallon Oil can that's all rust but You can see the writing on it still , It's a SOCO OIL CO. of New York , " Southern Oil Co. " ... before the Rockefellers bought it all up and later became other brands such as Sunoco ... H.H.

That must have been one very large squirrelly signal! You probably got some squirrels retirement fund!

Hello Msbeepbeep. Yes the signal was very odd. I had passed over it on previous hunts because it was under a buried slab of concrete and I thought I was hearing re-bar in the concrete. I finally decided to see if something was under the concrete and wallah there is the sign. The concrete must have protected the sign because all things iron turn to rust quickly here in FL.

Turns out the concrete slab was 2 x 2-FT X 3-IN and was covering the sign which was covering an old well casing of some kind about 1-FT in diameter and ~1.5-FT deep. There did not seem to be anything in the well hole so I covered it back with the concrete slab and logged the spot for future probing.

Just goes to show 'ya never know till 'ya dig it...'ya know? Thanks for the reply and HD'g. C9
