A Ring & Some Wheaties

I went out for a quick one hour hunt after work yesterday. I dug some clad and few wheaties, but just could not seem to find a silver coin. Silver coins are like bad dogs, they do not come when you call them.

I did manage to dig a ring... it cleaned up nicely, and looks like silver... but alas... no markings. JUNK!

I am with you on the rings...they irritate me when I discover they aren't real, but I have come to the conclusion that they very well "could have been". Next time! Right?

Hey OD... Hope all is well.

I like rings better than can slaw or pull tabs, but when I pull them out, and they look pretty good, but turn out to be junk, It frustrates me. People should only buy REAL jewelry, so when they lose it, and I find it, I am not frustrated. The fact that the world does not revolve around me just sucks!

Keep digging brother! Tenacity is what scores the good stuff in this hobby. Or living in Maine where the history starts in the 1600s and I'm the only idiot that'll hike miles thru the forest on the chance there's a good site out there lol
The old coins are a tricky beast indeed. Seems like you go through a drought and just when you're ready to give up....bang. There's your coin that reignites that passion. What a hobby this is
