Hi all,

I got to hunt for just a little while today since the sun finally came out..I didn't have any game plan, so I went up the street to a couple of houses I detected last year..I hunted them to death but these yards just keep on giving! I found about 30-35 wheats in this one particular yard, but still managed to find 13 more Lincoln Memorials, 4 nickels, 3 dimes, and yet another wheatie in this one little area of gravel next to the back patio I obviously didn't check.

I decided to go back to the front yard and check the side of the house where the yard meets the property of a vacant house next door (I hunted that property last year and found a Franklin half in the back yard). Close to the property line I got a penny/dime signal, similar to how my machine identifies wheat pennies. The target ended up being a 10K gold Southwestern Bell pendant with 3 stones. When I first saw it, I knew it was gold just by the way it looked. From now on I think I'll dig any penny signal when I search these yards..you just never know.

Here's the pics..I took a shot of the pendant and wheat penny together for size comparison.

Hope you all have a great day and happy hunting!

Penny ID's....I've found more "neat" stuff between large pull tab and copper penny than anywhere else on the scale....but that was also the 1990's, minus another DECADE of zincs getting dropped. Those zincs just annoy the crap out of these days, so as a result, I dig less cool stuff cause I'm avoiding the mid range of the scale.

I really don't want to rain on anyone, that's just how I read the markings...yes, it contains a signifigant amount of gold and that's always a good thing! But far more important is what the item is...just an amazing find!

When you comin to COWlumbus to show us idjuts how it's done?

Rock on bro.

SUN? Ya'll got sun today?! :D Send it over here for a while! It's like monsoon season here. :P If it hasn't been raining, then the humidity made it feel like it should have been. :-X

Awesome finds! Nana

That's a very cool pendant, Nat!! I wouldn't mind digging penny/dime signals around a residence, but at a park, I usually end up passing the shallow penny signals. I need my energy to dig the deeper stuff.

Congrats to you.

Natman you rock!
You just keep pulling cool stuff from the ground.
The pedant is a 15 year service anniversary award for females of SW Bell company.
The men received a ring. Don't ask me why the women got a pended and the men got a ring, some bone head in the glass office made up the rules. lol They are collectors items with the At&T folks.
Any way a great find.

Great gold pendant!

My company gives silver cowboy style big belt buckles for five years with the company, but they don't allow you to wear western style clothes to work.....?.......

Keep diggin'...

A great find Nat
Love that pendant
