A new smaller coil...4x6 Shooter DD

For starters you will start finding more good targets with the smaller coil! It is no fun trying to use a larger coil when the conditions clearly call for one you can move around in between the trash to get the coil over a good coin. Heck, any coin is good, right?

I am about to find out . I just picked up a used Whites Blue Max 4x6 shooter DD coil shipped to my home for $60 to use on my 6000 XL Pro. I got it to use in the playgrounds and city parks.

Been using it for about a year and a half. An absolute must for picnic areas, tot lots and any very trashy sites. It only gets about 4 inches in depth and I think I have pulled a few coins out at 5 inches but that would be max. The nice thing is you get between targets, pinpoint right on, pluck the target and keep rolling. You don't have to spend time swinging from different angles trying to separate targets etc. Keep your other coils handy though in case you move to a cleaner area, the 4X6 fills a great need but beyond that need it is worthless. My 2 cents.

I hear the DD coil works well in highly mineralized soil. Am I mistaken?

Have made lots of good finds in very trashy parks with the 4X6 on the MXT. I love it. Also have the 5.3 and it is useful, but if I could only have one small one I'd stick with the 4X6.
