A metal stetson hat ? Anyone know what this is.... - SOLVED

I found this with my Compass detector over twenty years ago in a yard at an old house in Rochester New York. It appears that it may be lead. (a magnet does not stick to it) It is a hat and has the inscription inside "stetson" no other marking. The dime is for size comparison.....

I'd say it's a piece for a board game (but probably not for Monopoly, unless they were putting out 'special editions' back then.)

Gypsy isn't the size of a penny a bit small for a salesman sample? I like yours though, felt? You got some of the neatest relics.
