Hi everyone,
I managed to find a few things today on lunch break out back in the woods. I've pounded the area with the equinox 800 the last couple of years. I purchased the Deus 2 a couple weeks ago and am getting to know it and have managed to have my best hunt with it so far. The dime and nickel were found about a foot apart and at around 6 inches deep. I'm not sure what the tiny silver piece is with all the numbers on it lol. It reads Open on one end and ABRE on the other. It has numbers 2170 and 88451. The other round brass piece with 4 holes I have no clue on as well.
Thanks for looking!

Very nice finds, Congrats! I find it interesting how many of us hunt areas with a very good machine, get a different one and go back and find more- GL and continued success with the D2!
Thank you so much JeffInMass!! I agree with you. I've cleaned most of the good stuff out of those woods with the 2 detectors I've used so far. I can tell so far with this one that it will find some more out there.

Great finds ! 👍
That .22 cartridge, what headstamp
is it?
I think I see an “H” there, a Henry…!
OLD…!
Thank you!!
That's the second dropped one I've found with that marking on the bottom.
It says US on it. They were around 20 feet of each other, I think they were both dropped by the same hunter many years ago lol.

Could be military....?
Or, re-loaded cartridges, but I doubt that...!
The lead looks kinda white, so indicates age....
A good hunting site, go again...!

Nice couple of older coins. I like that bird band. That was one small bird that wore that one.

Thank you,
I don't think so, I could only find this on the web trying to research it.

The headstamp "US" was used by the United States Cartridge Co., of Lowell, Mass., from the 1880's until 1926.

In September 1926, control of the USCCo assets was assumed by Winchester, and manufacture of the ammunition was moved to New Haven, where it continued until being discontinued by Winchester in 1936

Thank you so much!!
I know right! It's so tiny.
They actually sent me a little certificate a few nights ago that's pretty neat.

Thank you Gare! I was using the 9 inch coil and using deep high conductors for my program.
