The humidity was considerably lower than our usual Alabama sauna, so Lisa and I took off for our rounds. First pasture, still not cut....the Docs place....still not cut....next pasture...in the process of being cut...last on the list...Yea!!! New dirt! ;D

Ended up with a 1887 Injun, some little bottles and a regular penny. Probably more there, but we'll hit it again when they spread the dirt out a bit.

Rode around to see the progress on the log cabin being built and see new dirt there too! ;D

But dang...right out in the sun. Only one shade tree on the edge of where we wanted to hunt, so we doodled around and kept following that slow moving shade. :P Ended up with a great little marble, 1948 wheat, lots of silverware, a belt buckle that has 'Abex The Tough Brake'...I assume that was some sort of advertisement for auto brakes? :icon_scratch: Lisa found a neat lighter...looks like maybe from the Korean war...then last I found this penny. I don't know what brand it is, as it's smooth as a baby's butt. Must have been someones lucky penny that they rubbed smooth, used up all the luck off it and tossed it? :D We had a fun day but I was exhausted by the time we got home.

Thanks, LW. :)

Look forward to seeing you again too, Evy. :)

Thanks, JG. Sometimes it seems like a chore to visit the sites not knowing if it is going to be accessable or not, but if one happens to be, then it was well worth the effort. :icon_thumleft:

Thanks, MM. I sure loved that hat you were wearing! ......Nice! Great article too! You did good.

Thanks, Art. :)

Thanks, Civil. :) It's gonna be a good one, I'm sure.... just seems it's taking forever for them to complete it. (There's this big pile of topsoil we're waiting on them to spread out so's we can hunt it.) :D

Thanks, DF, Rob & Danny. :)

Thanks, Randy, will do!

Noooo tax token this time, Brad! :tongue3: And I did enjoy that article! Lots of great advise in those paragraphs! Enjoyed the pics too! Looks like you've got a good diggin' buddy in Trailer. :icon_thumleft: And I can fix that hat right up for Indiana Dug.....add a few flowers, mix him up a good cold mint julep and set him over by the pool! :D Or maybe I should give him the mint julep first then add the flowers? ;D :D

Thanks, Jerry! :)

Thanks, Brian, I'll try it out next week and let ya know. ;D

Thanks, Burt..very nice read!! I appreciate you all taking the time to share your knowledge. :)

Thanks, River & MMM. :)

CJ....it's funny you mention cutting a field...One of my contacts has several farms that we hunt. One day, as I was hunting, he drove up and asked my how my hunt was going. I told him I was having a great time, but wish the grass was lower. He pointed to the barn and told me to get the tractor out and cut where I wanted to......too bad I've never driven a tractor. :P :D
Send us some of that cool weather!!!!

Thanks, RR.....I did already!! That's where I found the Injun. ;D

Get over there and hunt that new dirt, Evy!! :icon_pirat:

Thanks, John!! :)

Good deal on the IH Nana. Doug says it's "hotter than heck" down there right now. It's been cooler than normal up here. Only a handful of days that even barely broke 80.
