Thanks Megalodon! I'm guessing you walk the cliffs for Miocene fossils? I have family in MD was planning on hitting the cliffs next time I'm there.

Yes indeed. I walk to the Cliffs. We recently had about two weeks of soaking rain & that caused trees at the cliff edge to come crashing down. So the walks have become a matter of walk for a few yards, then either wade out to get around the trees, or climb over them. Of course, climbing over them is a great way to get poison ivy and scratched up from greenbriar and locust thorns. All the climbing slows one down. Yesterday, a six mile hike took six hours.

Best shore hunting is after several days of wind from the N - NW. Go ahead & PM me & if tides are right and I'm around, we can access cliffs from our community private access.

Careful around those cliffs....especially fresh falls...You never know when more are going to come down...I know a guy who lost his wife that way while fossil hunting. With that said, if it's safe, I'm sure freshly fallen material can make for some great finds.

I do quite a bit of megalodon tooth hunting here in FL...I found a nice little meg and a buddy of mine found a nice great white shark tooth yesterday while walking dirt roads in FL....They dump material full of shells and occasionally shark teeth on random roads here, and not many people know about it.

Thanks for the offer and I may send you a PM next time I'm up that way. Let me know if you ever find yourself in North FL.

Thanks!
