Hey guys,

Snuck a couple hours in this morning. The couple sites I wanted to hit weren't looking good this morning so I resorted to some back up places.

First, I went to an 1890s school for a bit. I was only finding trash and there was a lot of electrical interference so I moved on after 45 minutes.

I went to an apartment complex built in 1947 to hunt the sidewalk strips in front of it. My first signal was a 1956-D wheat penny. Definitely a promising start. It's a pretty big area so I envisioned finding a few more wheats and maybe a silver Rosie.

No such luck! An hour and a half later, I didn't find anything older than a mid-60s penny. So weird! I did find a bicentennial half and an arcade token so there were a few fun finds other than that!

Totals for the day:
-1 Wheat Penny (56-D)
-1 Family Fun Center Token
-1 Half Dollar
-2 Quarters
-4 Dimes
-1 Nickel
-27 Memorial Cents

Good luck in the hunt folks!

Hey looks like a decent day! Hope you got out before the heat! Stay cool..
Thanks for sharing.

Not a bad day, tried to get out this evening but the mosquitoes were so bad had to quit after about 10 minutes or so. Will try again in the morning, hope they will all be asleep then.....

Halves are always nice to find.

have had a lot worse days, seen days that one wheatie or a 50 cent piece would have made a big difference.

You got a few keepers and I think that's cool. I don't get many clad halves. Seem to be a rare item to find them. Keep after it.:icon_thumright:

Fun hunt, sure were busy! GL & HH
