My hunting buddy and I went out Saturday morning. I knew before hand that it would be raining all day, but my new F44 is back with Kellyco for replacement and they are on back order. So, I decided to take the CZ20 out for a land hunt. I found a 1954 Roosevelt, a 1935 and 1936 wheat, 2 sales tax tokens, a Virgo Carmeli pendant (which turned out to NOT be silver) and 17, yes 17, bullets (not pictured).
Sunday was the first weekend day in 3 weeks with no rain. We hit some soccer fields and I took my trusty F75 that I've been really missing with all the rain. I ended up with $5.81 in clad, this 5.17g silver ring, a key and a big fishing weight (kind of a weird place to find a big fishing weight!). The ring hit as an 83 (which is quarter range for F75, maybe a little high), about 7 inches down. I'm guessing on depth, but I used my Lesche digger and dug the plug to the hilt of the digger. It was in the next scoop of dirt that I pulled out of the bottom of the hole. I SO love seeing a ring as I start removing dirt to see what I think will be a coin. Also, it seems gold AND silver hit all over the spectrum.
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!
