Got out with Watercolor today. We hunted with Kermit & Joe. Looks like they picked up some great finds out there. I managed to grab four wheats, all from the 20's, and a 1906 Indian. The wheats were all real corroded and the Indian was somewhat pitted, too.

I also managed to pick up a '29 Merc. Digging her wasn't easy, as the hole was in a puddle. I kept losing track of her, and in the ensuing confusion, she was injured. Then she disappeared, but was found hiding on the end of my Sunray probe. She was sporting a lot of detail before she was assaulted, but I think she's still gorgeous!

Sorry she didn't get in on the group photo on Kermit's post, but I was out wandering in the woods with her when it was taken....

I hope you all had a great day. The rain & snow are coming... :(

Great finds, your IH was the oldest coin found today - CONGRATS!!!! Yea we were all wandering all over the place LOL.
The additions on the pix of the Merc made me laugh outloud - very funny!!!! :tongue3:

Great Merc Kimsdad! I was digging in some water filled holes today too... "coin blender" is a phrase that comes to mind. It happens, oh well. I would print out a little micro band-aid and put it in a coin holder that way :) That's awexome. Congrats on your IH as well!

Nice Silver and IH Kimsdad..............................IH's going around for every one.......H.H.

Excellent finds KD---That Merc is pristine even if she is wounded.

Good going Neil,
Bad Neil, Bad Neil!

Which one of you got the Borden's tag? Looks like Elsie on that token/tag in the group pic on Fiend's post.

Neil, I'm really glad you were able to find your favorite kind of silver and that sweet Indian

Now about that Merc. . . I seem to recall there a law passed back around 1909 about defacing coinage ::) :D

It was great to get out again!

An Injun and silver, nice! That would make my day. WTG!
