I still brood over the 1849 church that I got to look around for a few minutes with the ground frozen a few months back. I drive by it every day and it haunts me, lol... I was later told the church members said I couldn't hunt anymore. I did sweep a pretty good size area and got plenty of good signals that I thought I was going to be able to go back and get. Anyway, that's a connected story...Well, sort of. There's an adjoining lot where they built an apartment building some years back and I thought that it might hold some old coins too because it was right next to the church property. I finally got permission to search the yard today and I went down there a while ago for a little bit to just do a quick check. Here's what I found...I might be able to get some more goodies out of there. Have a good one and HH to all.

It seems that decendants of the original church founders still have a lot of say in affairs of the church and they don't want anyone digging in the yard. It's a shame because I would gladly give any church related artifact to them. I did mention that but it didn't help. They were nice about it but I have to drive by it every day ond I automattically look over at it every time. Thanks for the question and have a good one.

WOHOOO. 1920. Dont care if it is made of silly putty. Nice find. Definately go back and do some hard looking.

Be sure to keep up posted.

Happy Hunting....

Dang it Langley---I thought it was gold or at least silver.

I would hit that spot again.

Cool finds, congrats.

Nice Finds, DL. Too bad about the church, but sounds like you might have another spot already.

HH

Even if it is aluminum it's a cool find.

Nothing seems cheezier than an aluminum coin. Feels like you have nothing.

Good luck at the place.
