A little help with this.

Went hunting in an old farm field dating back to the early 1800's and found some cool stuff.... I believe the item to the right is a corral bell but not sure what the item on the left of it is..maybe some sort of horse rein ? Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the pic had to use my surface with a crappy camera.....

Yep your right about the crotal bell. The other item looks like part of a hand scale?

yea i was thinking the same but it has a little weight to it to be a hand held scale part.
