A Little Dirt Scratching

I got off after work and checked out next door to the shop where there used to be an auction house and a pole barn type dock. We've been slowly tearing down the dock and cutting the pipe up. There's a lot of debris and such under the dock including trash and what not. There's so much metal that a detector is pretty much useless at the moment. After everything is cleared and the stuff trashbagged then we can see what else is there. This auction house has been around since the late 50's so ??? about old silver.
Thought I'd share the pics and some of the whatnot that came to light. Thanks and HH!

cool finds, what are the coins? also like the toy pistol....looks like a great site once all the trash is cleared......keep us informed and congrats............HH

Hey those are some great bottles you found. I really like the unique ones like the Love Beverages one that you got. Those are the best I think. Good luck with that area.

Somebody hand me a towel so I can clean off the slobbers from such a great site! Burdie

Stoney,

like the bottles.

Once the site is cleand up should be interesting on
what you could find.

Heck, the trash, (small treasures), you got so far
is neat.

have a good un..........

It's always nice to have a site lined up for the future...looks very promising. Thanks for the pics!

HH!

Thanks guys. Ricky, they are just mems. and a play dime. No old coins yet although I've found a couple of wheaties in the next lot. The little cap gun still works too.
Ilovetodig, yeah the bottles aren't that old but the Loves is marked from a plant about 40 mi east of here.
Sherm, thanks! They're not much but every little bit adds up. Boy do they add up. LOL
River Rat, you betcha. Definitely a heavy glove situation and I use either a yard rake or a little garden trowel to move the stuff around, lots of sharp metal and as you saw, even sharper metal.
Burdie, since you saw it in person, you know what kind of mess there is. Since we own the lot we can take our time after getting the lumber and cinder blocks outta there.
Thanks Haupin! There were a couple other marbles that didn't get into the picture as I found them yesterday and were already home.

The marbles are just kind of laying around here and there, there was also a plastic squeeze coin purse but naturally it was empty except for a little dirt. :(

A lot of work picking through all that but interesting finds! HH, Mike

Cool Relics Jeff.

That site Does look like it's going to need a VERY Carefull
Search.

Happy Hunting !
Jeff of pa

Keep hunting it Stoney, in time the coins will be found. Also keep any brass and copper, it is worth some money when you turn it in. Couple of the marbles look older.

Jeff, definitely gonna be a careful search after the needle.
Free, there were two other marbles that were older as well. They are agates ranging from 2 color swirl to 4 color swirl. There was also a slightly chipped piece of cut turquoise about the size of a dime, hopefully meaning that a ring is close by.

Guys, I wish you had my problem. As I post this, I have two home sites that just got razed, plus this one, and also on the way to Kansas to hunt w/Burdie on a couple of sites. No rest for the weary. ;D HH y'all!

Have fun.......and wear knee pads!! ;)That old fountain pen looks neat....bet there is a lot there yet ,especially under the dock area........

Great finds, and even better to come ;D anybody know how they get those swirls into the marble ??? Always has puzzled me...

God bless
Peter
