Is it a DEMOCRAT ? LOL

You sire sure take wonderful pictures !! What are those leather like things on your legs for ? :(

It sure is different countryside than I am used to! I appreciate the photos. Are the walls adobe with stones mixed in? The arches look like bridge abutments but it appears to be too dry for a bridge. I wonder what they are? The 1/4 real coin interests me. Is it silver? Is it a coin issued by a Mexican state?

Those leather are a versatile things that protect me in case of a snake apears, also help me when I walk between mexican thorn bushes, also when I put a knee down for starting diging and aslo help me on receiving people’s comments from others countries on my postings. Lol

Maded mannually, exactly for my size, a place that also produce horsews chairs, and other things made with lather. It cost me 700 Mexican pesos

Thanks for yours comments.

No, those adobe bricks are not mixed with stones, but are mixed with grass, that were very comoon to use in olds times.

It is not a bridge, old houses used to have windows or inside doors in shape of archs. Very nice architectural style.

Some times very small stones, like the size of a half marbel, used to be combained with adobe.

1/4 reale is not silver is made with cooper/bronze. Chihuahua state minted those coins, as you can see, the one from the photo was minted in 1835, but I found similar from 1846, 1855

Keep in touch

are there a lot of such houses abandoned in lonely places?

There are some similar places, but it is not easy to find them, or some times not easy to access.

This particular spot looks like an old abandoned town, plenty of old house every 300 mts, close to an old dry river.

Cool finds and a nice variety as well. Love the old buildings/ruins. Do you have an idea of the age? The snake gaiters are by far the best set I've ever seen. Detecting is always a good time when spent with friends!

Guessing those ruin were built around 180 ago. If you watch the photos, There is a coin from 1835, that was found in that’s area.

Thank you for the replies to my questions. I understand much better now. I think it would be a fascinating place to visit and detect and I am pleased to have you make us familiar with it.
