Yes this is what I was talking about a singular boulder by itself at the base of the hill, now you have to decide if it is just a trail marker or one point of a Cross, in order to do this you will need to see if it is carved into a treasure marker such as a Triangle or Rabbit a Eagle an Owl or a Duck (you may need to see it from when you are on the hill looking back down at it) also which way is East from this boulder?

One other thing if this is an alignment boulder (going to a crisscross spot on the hill) you will see another boulder below it while standing on the hill looking back down at it that you line up.

The picture below is an example of one of mine and there are three more alignments to this Crisscross spot.

I have a question for sandy1, and anyone else who can give me some information or at least their opinion...I've seen photos on this thread of animal rocks, namely turtles and ducks, somewhat hidden or disguised on a bigger rock. What is the significance, if any, if the duck is much larger and more obvious? Like in this photo...

And what is the rock formation to the right of the duck?

Also, what if an entire mountain range, from a particular angle, takes on the shape of a turtle?

You have what looks to be a duck and a shaft sign combination, the top of the range turtle is too large to be man made. Looks like the shaft sign would have been perfect if you were a couple steps to the left.

Absolutely, one of the most common ways they hid things were two markers that were offset (one further away than the other) and when you viewed them from the correct angle they came together to make the proper image, this is the same idea with the two boulder alignments while standing on the correct spot the alignments align by sight.

You have to insert the pictures not just thumbnails.

I am going to say the same thing to you that I tell most people the markers are there to mislead you, you have to pick out specific treasure markers that are not movable and then use degrees and measurements between them as well as degree angles off of them.
