A few Relics

Very cool find,I have more sites to hunt then i can ever seem to find the time to break away from work or the little one to get out on.Your post brings up some sites that i have always wanted to get out to but to date have not. It,s the TVA lake system in East Tenn. DOUGLAS, CHEROKEE, NORRIS lAKES and many more that when the water level is down all of the roads, building foundations etc,are exsposed. As you know this was all done in the early 30,s. You know the finds have to be.So the weather,s mild in the winter months and the water levels down for all who travel to this area. Just tap in TVA Lakes it,s all you need.HH

I have a good friend back in Mich. he lived on a lake the dam broke boy the things he found. I live in So. Cal. the lakes we do have are low I try at the edge I get a lot of badly caroded clad it must be the water & soil together. I like the way you display your finds. I have been setting up a display at local museum I put mine out like that then I # them then have a list that the people can read what they are looking at it has been fun for my 6 year old & I.
I wish I lived more back east some times boy the things you guys find slots thats cool stuff. But for now I'm a So. Cal. SASQUASH & HAVING MORE FUN THEN PEOPLE.

Nice collection there Jeff!

You might want to try and do some research on coin stores too in your area when you want to sell your gold. I do some work for a couple pawn shops and as you know they just give you their price on the gold value and content. They then usually sell it out of the store if they think it'll sell pretty fast or take it some where to sell it for "melt" for the junky ones. There is a big profit margin on the gold for the pawn broker. It's definetly worth while to do a little research to find the melter direct and cut out the pawn broker/jewelry store. It really kills me one I see someone pawning nice jewelry cause they need the money and only getting 25 to 50% of what they would get cutting the "middle man".

Just my 2 cents!

definately a nice collection 8), but i'm sure thats just the tip of the iceburg ;D, you must be runnin out of room to store it all ;D.
