Blew out my back a week ago, don't know how, so I wasn't able to get out until yesterday. Still hurts but not bad enough to ground me. I headed back out to the old dump.

The finds included:
Another one of those tiny compacts, this one by Luxor,
a fancy pocket watch back and bezel,
two marbles,
some glass beads,
a Heinz 57 bottle stopper,
a sterling screw-back earring,
a gold plated cufflink,
a couple of valve stem covers,
a U.S. screw-back insignia,
some keys, and 5 wheat cents.

The small valve stem cover is kinda cool and still functions with the inside part sliding so you only have to thread it on a couple of turns and slide it down over the stem. Although the one I found looks a bit different, it has this patent number and Bronson stamped into it.

No silvers this time, but 5 wheats so I know it's just a matter of time.

That didn't hurt too bad, so I'll give it a go again in a couple of days.

Well done at the site once again.

Backs must of been the thing to do this past week.
I blew mine on Tuesday been to 2 chiropractors since and still get up walk (bent over) like a crippled 90 yr old.
Was thinking of going out and swing a coil for a few hours to do a passive exercise. :laughing7:

It helps a lot that This hobby has strengthened my legs by squatting to retrieve targets as kneeling hurts my knees and back.
Soon I'll be back in Lake Tahoe with my scoop, no squatting or bending necessary!
I hope your pain eases up soon Pepper.

Awesome finds again! I appreciate the valve stem diagram as I was always wondering how that worked! As someone with a bad back, I can sympathize. Mine always feels better after digging. Not sure if it the exercise or the adrenaline!
