I shirked my responsibilities this morning and knocked on a few more doors. After a couple of rather enthusiastic NO's!!!, I got a yes from an old gal with a tiny, gravely, weedy and overgrown yard. Not really sure why I even asked, but glad I did. Took me all of 20 minutes to search the yard and pulled a nice 1935 nickel, a '40 & '44 penny and a Grimland Play Coin (1940's I believe). The Legend sniffed that little thing out at about 8 inches down.

Here’s a Tnet thread that gives more information about the Grimland play coin.

Well done on the Buffalo nickel, it's in fine shape.

Nice! That buff is in awesome condition!

Grimland doesn't sound too fun.

Nice finds. A two wheats and a buffalo nickel on the same hunt is a thrill.
