Stopped by my local Stop and Shop today and saw a pile of coins waiting to be rescued from the reject bin. One Ukrainian coin and a Russian coin ( Soviet era) and a transportation token...New York?
All firsts I think to my collection.

Thanks for viewing and apologize for the cell phone photo quality in advance.

Nice! I fetched a few foreign coins a couple days ago.

That's an interesting mix of coins / tokens.

Yesterday, I stopped at my local bank and noticed that the reject chute was loaded, specifically : two Washington quarters and 22 Canadian quarters.

I suspect that the machine was so busy rejecting the Canadian coins that it threw the baby (babies) out with the bathwater, so to speak.

Wow... was that the bank coin sorting machine bin? That's a great haul!

Forgive my ignorance but do you just ask them for the rejects? This is the first time I’ve heard of this.

Our Credit Union is doing a massive overhaul to its inside. It had a self-service coin counter. I’d get rejects there a lot. That is going away with the new layout. 😞
