A Few Fine Farm Finds & a Wilver

These are a few things I found at the 1830's house after work Tuesday, and today at my lunchtime farm.
Today I scored a 1949 Quarter in the same front lawn area I hit yesterday. It was masked by a large iron railroad spike. The old door knob was found in this lawn area too. I had hit this yard in the past, but not thorough, and not gridded off like I just started doing this week. The 49' quarter was found very close to the 39' nickel I posted yesterday. Hopefully there will be more out there. ;)
All the other goodies were from the 1830's house.
Nothing exciting, but a few keepers for my relic displays.
Here we go:

*A 1949 Quarter

*Flat button with shank but no back mark

*Suspender piece?

*A 2" long piece with diagonal lines running through it. The back has some gold gilt still on it, and looks like it was a pin of some sort. Who knows?

*Other asst'd relics.

Thanks for looking,
MM

Nice digs MM. Isn't is sweet to see the edge of a silver coin peeping at you from the hole ::)

Thanks SF.
You got that right. I love the silver coins. Normally I find dimes, so the quarter was a real treat. ;D

Doug,
Congratulations on a SUPERIOR set of finds...
The door knob is way cool as well as the rest of the RELICS...
And a SILVER quarter is always a nice...
Way to go...
Nick

Thanks Nick.
Do you think there may be some ancient aged Chuck E Cheese tokens to be found at these old farms? ;D ;)
Hope you are doing well.

The buckle reminds me of a WWI era belt buckle??

Thanks Crusader. I have no idea how old that thing is?
I was reading over the Cortes manual and field test on the Tesoro web site today. It sounds like an easy machine to learn, and that's what I need. ;)

Very nice finds and a Silver quarter too, wtg. I think the unknown item looks like a hair barrette.
HH and Gold Luck (yeah that's right, I meant to say "Gold Luck"). HH

Thanks Ant.
Gold would be very nice. I'm due for some.

Nice Score on the Quarter. The door knob is also cool.
No hunting for us this weekend - high in the 20's. :P
Bob

Thanks Bob.
We actually got a small dusting of snow last night. I wish we would have gotten more. :'(
In the 50's and sunny tomorrow, but cold and windy this weekend too. I will probably get a quick lunch hunt in tomorrow. That may be it for me this week. I just can't handle the cold like I used to in Northern Indiana. I must be getting old? ;)
Have a good weekend,
Doug

Thank VP.
The quarter was nice, but this particular farm hasn't produced too much old silver yet. I think my oldest silver here was a 1923 Merc. I did find my first IH here though (a 1874), so I may find some older silver one day. It's a great place to hunt very close to work, so I can get my MD fix in about any time which is real nice.
Keep Kirk in line. ;D
