Welcome,
Many of us here enjoy civil war relics and colonial finds like myself, not sure where your location is but looks like your close to me, maybe its just because of your finds, just a guess of course. If so I wouldn't mind teaming up.
Looking to see some more relics good luck and good hunting

Yes, I'd love it if you'd share a bit about your cleaning methods as well.

All the Best,

Ditto.
I could use some tips on cleaning these old pieces. I tend to trash mine using dish soap and a soft bristle brush.

I think the difference is the way they are made. The ones that look good, came out pretty good and all the detail is incised, not raised on the button. For every good one I find several that are just nasty and can't be helped.

A couple a finds from my hunt with Romeo-1 along with others all found fairly recently. I'm new to the forum but not to detecting.

This looks like a great forum!!!

Hi & welcome from the UK. Firstly if your a friend of Romeo-1, then your OK in my books 8) Secondly this doesn't just look like a good forum, its the best.

Lastly I have a few of the buttons which you pictured & they are rare enough & collectable here in the UK. So extra ordinary finds for over the pond. Well done keep up the good work.

I know of you by looking at your finds LOL, that Revolutionary War button gave it away, "The Kings American Regiment". Welcome to Tnet and HH, Mike

Nice to see another known, friendly face on this forum, I know you will like it and I am positive the members will love seeing your finds, which in the past have been pretty incredible. :)

Welcome to TNet friend !

Oh yes, you set the right tempo with this post, Great Finds!!!!!!

Actually, the rarer buttons in my post would be less likely to turn up in the UK. The Navy and Artillery, yes common for me, and very common for your parts.

Those are some impressive finds. The plate and Loyalist button are great. The British buttons are great.

Nice collection.

Yes, I agree. I traded a bottle for the joy of finding buttons about 7 years ago.

::) Guess I better dig something else from now on.

Mike, wouldn't it be great if we could import ARH into the relic slot on this forum? I hate seeing such a great forum get so little traffic.

Thanks Don. It's a great combination of digging some finds and having a great place to post them.

Its all relative. The Navy & artillery 1 piece types are rare for me (30 in over 20 years) with 10 years of my Dad helping too. You don't see hoards of them on ebay either, none have been posted on here by the other Brits since I joined. Common is the 4 hole buttons & plain pewter type - 10 every 4 hours.

Welcome to TN, Iron Patch!

Looking forward to seeing all your new finds.
