Been a long while since I posted , been out on a few solo trips door knocking in a few county's close by . The ground has been horribly hard and dry and not to mention the heat ... so any finds this time of year are hard earned .....
First place I hit three weeks back , was a skirmish site that had been loaded with artillery fire , I spent a total of about 9 hours combing a large piece of property and did manage to score a few artillery fragments and a heavy pewter button and a few small caliber pistol shots .
Second place two weeks ago I hooked up with DHD and we went door knocking and got into a few places but no luck other than some ticks and I got a nice spider but ,and then we hit one of our old spots and I scored a nice trigger guard , not sure what C.W gun it came off of ,so any idea's from the experts is very welcome ... and I also scored a dropped .57 cal ...
And finally this past weekend I headed out and ended up to a site ive been to one time before and last time I scored a good hand full of C.W lead and this time was just as good I hit one dropped .57 cal and two fired .57 cals . I decided to hit the creek bed which was dried up but runs through the center of the property and its a awesome location just wish the owner would cut his grass as its 2 feet high but I scored a square item which appears to be pewter or copper but had a shank on it at one time ... any idea's on that is also welcome ...
And finally got around to putting some of my finds in my riker boxes and realized I need alot more boxes... thanks for looking ...
