It may not be as much as many of you large quantity hunters but it was my biggest score yet. I decided to go to another part of town and hit a few banks that I had never been to before.
Bank 1:$8 from tt's-skunk
Bank 2:$3.50 tt's-1 40%
Bank 3:$1.50 tt's-3 40%
Bank 4:Dump
Bank 5:Skunk
Bank 6:$20 CWR's $2.50 tt's-Skunk
Bank 7:$12.50 tt's-Skunk
Bank 8:Skunk
Bank 9:$.50-Skunk
Bank 10:$.50-Skunk
Bank 11:Skunk
Bank 12:$20 CWR's, $13 tt's-5 40%,9 90%

Total: 9 40%, 9 90% for 4.2857 Oz Silver! That is a lot of silver for such a small amount of coin.

Not bad. Not fantastic (imho), but not bad at all. :) I'd be happy with that for a days' take.

I'd say so, considering it takes me 3 weeks to a month to cull that amount. Lol, nice score buddy!

Completely disagree. I think that's fantastic! 5 x 40% and 9 x 90% from teller's tray? Absolutely awesome! I'd consider that a fantastic box, and you didn't even have to dump!

Great find!

Agreed, that is quite awesome! That is better than some weekly hauls for me searching through 10 boxes of halves! Definitely one of the best scores on here in weeks!

That teller tray must have been blindingly bright

Not bad I would love to pull 18 silver halve, with half of those being 90%ers, out of what maybe a quarter of a box of halves. I did not add up the total in $ but that was really nice.

I am curious how long did it take to stop in at all 12 of the banks.

Congrats! Those are huge teller tray numbers, IMO. Finding halves in teller trays around here is hard enough, and silver is rare. In about $30 of loose halves I have found one 90%.

I have yet to see a real CWR of halves at a bank, just MWRs (which were skunks), but I expect that CWRs would have a good amount of silver unless they were CRH dumps. Anyway, no reason for you to pickup boxes with this kind of teller/CWR success!

From about 3:15 to 5:00. There are A LOT of banks around here so I didn't have to go Far. I could probably hit 50+ banks within about 20 miles of my house. Maybe even more. On the way to get to the "other part of town" I passed up about 8 banks that I frequently stop at because they almost never have halves. With the banks that are in between school and my house (about 10 banks) there is only one that seems to get halves regularly and it has produces 2 40%. Also a lot of these banks have coin counters so if they do have any it is usually just one or two. With that being said I was shocked when I found three 40% in the trey before my dump. The other part of town is a little bit poorer part of town and gets more traffic so I was hoping for better results. I could of hit another 5 or so banks if the traffic was not so bad. The CWR's that I found marked my 3rd and 4th time I have found any. I went to a few more banks today that I don't go to as often as that others, but with no success. It is still kinda that wealthier part of town, and I only found about $ 5 in clad halves. The silver would be worth $139.75 as of today! Ill make my way back to those banks in a few weeks.
