It's been a while since I have found this many coins on a single hunt. Not as old as I prefer but I'm not complaining. All of these finds came from the field by my house which I use as a "stand-by" field but as you can see, it is still producing. I have found everything from colonial Spanish silver to almost modern at this site. The first settlers to the area arrived at this site in the early 1700s and there has been a house there right up until the early 1900s.
The silvers are two 1903 10 cents and a 1917 5 cent. Coppers are a decent 1859 cent, a 1903 cent and an 1855 PEI penny token. This is the third PEI token found at this site...weird. Also found an old signet ring which I first thought could have been a trade ring but not to be. The silver button is the find of the day for me...heavy silver plate I think but it is old...I think it is a tombac base. It should clean up nice. Thanks for looking.
