I don't think I can recall a day with so many buckles. One after another they kept popping out over the course of the day...

It's been too long since I've gotten out. Life's been busy, but today the stars aligned and I got out into the bramble with my buds, Bartek and Charlie.

Conditions were bad but we all got a few keepers. I didn't get the oldest silver coin, but I did get the oldest coin. Also found a sweet Tombac button but my kids ran off with it into my yard, and lost it, while the fellas and I were enjoying a cold one.

Overall it was a good day well spent with my buddies. Enjoy!

Good digs

Nice hunt. Love the old buckles. I guess the coins are nice too. [emoji13] Those cold ones sure go down good when you're staring at silver and rust. Glad you had a good day

Great day indeed! Still pulling thorns from my body!

Great hunt steve, silver large cent and buckles equals one hell of a day!

I like the tall skinny buckle....any specific use for that style?

Nice coins and relics Scrappy! Keep up the good hunts! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Excellent hunt! You certainly know where to go for buckles and the like.

Thanks. And yes, those cold ones do go down well. We had finds strewn out whilst drinking beer. So my kids grabbed a few relics and the pinpointed and played in the dirt. No more tombac:(

Tics and Thorns. Charlie must be loaded with them after his three naps in the weeds.
Nice work Scrappy, congrats on some really nice finds
Considering the location I was hoping for more finds, but this was plenty to keep me happy 'till the next hunt. Thx for looking

It was a good day. I thought that LC was garbage. It was double pinging on the surface in the woods. It must have been no more than an inch down. Cheers buddy

Nice digs . At least now you have one more thing to search for in your yard when you get bored

Thanks. I'll try to keep up the hints but free time is always a big issue
Nice hunt Steve, good mix of relics with a bit of silver to cover the beers.
Thanks man. Relics are out bread and butter.

I think this area was so poor way back that very little coinage was lost, which is why I think we found mostly relics. Thanks for looking
Grats on the double Mercs and the LC

Much appreciated.

Very well done Scrappy! You got all sorts of good stuff. Congrats.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Nice hunt, my last copper coin was a roach. Glad to see you found some keepers, I'm slow out of the gate. I'm stalling for temps to rise

Cool way to think of it. I don't mind them loosing my stuff as long as they have an interest. Perhaps I'll have them find it with me
Thx Cas

I seem to remember a guy named Treblehunter that was hunting in frost covered ground in January, partially frozen. But that couldn't be you could it? Lol

Not a bad day's finds, it appears that you were in an area where a barn once sat. I like seeing the buggy brakes that get posted and the old LC. Glad to see you got back out and had some "ME" time in your family man life.
