I found three old house sites, each with some nice sized yards to hunt and decided to invite my local buds Lee and Larry along to hunt to spread the wealth as they were too large for me to hit all in one day.

The first house we hit was built in 1890. It had some nice looking promise. All I managed out of that yard was that button that looks like a stick or pole with wings on each side of it. Is there anyone out there that can identify it? I also found that key hole thingy. It is missing a piece of the right edge but it's still a nice piece of victorian America. Lee got a wheat penny out of the yard and I got a memorial penny... I think those were the only coins out of that yard.

Off to the next house it was!

House #2 was built in 1900. The yard gave me 13 wheats. The dates on the wheats are: 1916, 2-1918, 2-1919, 1940, 3-1941, 1942-D, 1944, 1945, 1945-D. I also got that token. It has benjamin harrison on the front of it. It is pretty corroded and the other side is worse. I also got two Indian Dog Tax tags, 1948 and 1953. And I got that Lord's prayer thing. Lee got an identical one in the first yard today as well. I also got a broken heart as well, haha. Larry got 2 wheats out of that yard I believe and I think Lee got another dog tax tag. I also got that cool glass door knob with part of the metal still left on it.

Then to yard #3...

This house was also built in 1900. About 5min into the hunt Larry walks over with a grin and shows a clod of dirt with a silver reeded edge.... I was jealous already! It turned out to be a 1934 Mercury Dime. Then about 2 min later I pulled out a nice green 1906 Indian Head Cent. Then a few min later I got a Mercury of my own. The year on it is 1925. I also got a Watch Fob that reads "JUDD ST. CLAIR NEW YORK, NY" as well as a knife. It is missing the other side and pretty rusted up. Lee got a few wheats there.

The total for clad on the day was just one dime, 2 nickels, and 5 pennies. The other guys didn't find much clad either.

All in all we had a fun day. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures and everyone else did as well or better than us! Take care!
