A dandy of a time at a new site

A friend invited me out to a home of his friend built in 1802 or so. The front had been hit by another detectorist, so the property owner said. We hit the back and had some decent results. I love the dandy button the most, so many different patterns on it. Blew me away the thread and fabric on the tombac!

Fine relics there. I like the Zuave button, you don't see that backmark very often. I found several at a Civil War camp in Upstate NY years ago.

Hi; That round button is called an ACORN Button because of its shape and most likely older than the Tombac button. The pattern on the tombac is called the Constelatio Pattern ok. Great Finds. PEACE:RONB

I disagree, the 'ball' or 'globe' button is much later than the tombac, circa 1850ish.

Thread on tombacs is not that uncommon. However, yours looks to be a piece of weaved fabric. So a piece of the jacket, not thread!
