That is great find, totally cool! Congrats,

Great find man...is there any more to the story? What you were fixing, how old is the house, who may have put it there? Just curious but gotta say that it is a really good score!

I may have to go with ModernMiner on this one too.....Banner!...this is a cool cache!

Rob, this is exceptionally cool! I just checked out your previous posts via the links you provided, and am really impressed with the work you've been doing. I love old houses and almost purchased one in Petersburg, but the renovation cost would've been astronomical. I want to learn how to renovate old houses like that; kudos to you for undertaking it yourself.

creskol, great find! sigh, back when money was actually backed by something. house looks good too.

Thanks Jason! I must say it is a labor of love.

Thanks again everybody .. and thanks for the Banner nods!

OMG, that is SO cool. I've always wanted to find something decent hidden in a wall.
You probably think I'm nuts, but I vote BANNER!!!
Very unusual find in my book.
A BIG high 5 Rob. :hello2:

Thanks MM! I appreciate that!

Very interesting finds...my wife will really think I have lost it when I start running the AT Pro over the living room walls, ha!

Missed this post of the fabulous find inside the wall. If in fact that it was stashed in the thirties it was a major rainy day fund they stashed away. Congrats on the find and the project so far.

That's some great detective work right there Rob! :occasion14:
I'm always looking in the rafters of old houses I'm exploring for hidden treasures, no cash yet though.

Dave

Thanks very much, Dave. I really just sorta happened upon this one while stripping the siding off of the house.

I am voting banner on this. I know that banner placement is usually given for value, but this is what we all dream of. If the value of all that paper money were silver coins hidden in the wall instead, this would make banner no problem.

Seriously, fantastic find there.

Congratulations,

Buck

Thanks very much, Buck .. Thanks, too, for the banner bid!:hello:

This is the epitome of being a Treasure Hunter!!!!!:blackbeard: Yea never know!
