A Button with a Bull on it?

Yes that's right, a Button with a Bull on it. That is all I know and would like some clarification if possible. I found it along with items from 1864 through the 1960's, all of which I posted in "today's finds", so I'm guessing it has some age to it. Having rounded up swept horns, it doesn't look like a contemporary image. I would love any info on it. Thank you very much for looking.

I think that it may be a Cape Buffalo instead of a domestic bull. And, I agree with BCH that it may be a sporting button. Here's a link showing many buttons but not your specific one. sporting
