Hi Romeo1,

Have a look at Gypsyheart's new post on Bell found at cellar hole...... looks pretty much the same thing to me ::)

God bless

You know, I was thinking the same thing...

I really can't see it being used as a weight as it is quite light. The top of my "bell" is similar to the top of Mona Lisa's. Also, I noticed that there is a seam inside the bell where the clanger could have been...

I went back to look at hers, and the tag at the top even looks the same...... I am pretty positive yours is also a bell similar to hers..... Maybe you should send her a PM and ask her if hers also has a number on the top like yours.... If they are the same, maybe made by the same makers.

God bless
Peter

Slight correction, not Gypsyheart but Mona Lisa....... something else that has caught my attension is the thickness of your material...... thin like a bell, would have sounded very nice.

God bless

Many Pardons......I do believe without willingly knowing it "mona lisa" solved this one....minus the bottom half it's a bell!

Just curious, but wouldn't the top of a bell be more of a rounded shape? Not saying that I am correct in my ID of the piece, just posing a question.
