I may emphasize my writing in a different form than you, but it is how I learned to do it in school. Do you remember the old manual typewriters? Two ways to emphasize text:

Multiple strokes (which sometimes led to multiple mistakes) and capitalization as in all caps (which my instructor preferred). Old habits in old men die hard.

I do not currently own a firearm, this is true. I have owned several over my lifetime. Actually my favorite was a 20 gauge side by side Savage (yes, Savage). Sweetest little bird gun I ever had.

I've owned military rifles, pistols, and several pump shotguns - so quite familiar with that sweet sound.

I've sold some, bartered some and gave others away. Same way I came to have them.

I always thought a finger on a trigger discharges the weapon and that's your sweet sound. No where in your original post did you mention the pumping action. Only the finger on the trigger for the sweetest sound. Maybe you should post your true intentions first, not as an after thought

Well, if you operate one of these with one hand . . . you're more of a man than I.

Usually the person with their finger on the trigger is ALSO the one loading the round into the chamber. My hand just isn't large enough to do both.
